
In my Images in Communication class, we were tasked to create packaging for a consumable good for a made-up brand that is based in Austin. I created The Rooted. The Rooted was born from a need to celebrate black excellence and empower black women in Austin's hair care landscape. Rooted in the history of resilience against redlining and gentrification, we stand as a testament to strength and perseverance. Our mission is to offer locally-based, clean ingredient products that nourish curls and coils while creating spaces for community connection and empowerment. The Rooted is more than a brand; it's a celebration of culture, resilience, and beauty.
